The structure of the project:
Project Citizen focuses on the role of local and regional authorities and state institutions in the Czech Republic. Students work primarily in four cooperative teams, and learn to interact with local government officials and political and public life, the private sector in five basic steps:
identification of a societal problem that requires solutions at the Public Policy
collecting, sorting and evaluating information about a selected problem
verification and evaluation of alternative solutions
proposing their own solutions through public policy instruments
create an action plan which will enable the political
institutions adopt the proposed resolution
Problem and the students work on it are documented in the class portfolio, which forms part of the exhibition and documentation.
