Aims of International Exchange Program:

The main objective of this program is to promote education, citizenship and democracy in the United States, the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, the development of teaching, pupils 'and students' knowledge of the society, developing civic skills and conscious access to basic values of a constitutional democracy.

Programs for teachers and students, through which may contribute to the reform of education in the Czech Republic:

• through activities promoting professional growth of teachers to implement programs for students to develop their civic skills
• enhanced professional growth of Czech, Slovak and American teachers, which in turn will lead to enhanced levels of citizenship education in partner countries
• facilitate the exchange of experiences and ideas between representatives of education, as well as representatives of the political and the private sector, which will lead to a deeper interest in civic education in the country partner organizations
• allow American educators to understand and learn more about the new democracies in Central Europe
