PROJECTCITIZEN

Project Citizen is a educational program for secondary school, the corresponding grades of gymnasium, as well as for other groups of young people, developing competent and responsible participation in local, regional and national authorities and governments. Program helps young people gain experience in monitoring and influencing public policy. In its implementation can develop a sense of fundamental democratic values and principles such as tolerance, respect, responsibility.

Students, members of youth organizations working together to identify the problem, which relates to public policy in their company. After examining the problem, evaluate alternative solutions, drafted and developed custom solutions that will impact the company, are developing an action plan that includes local, regional and state authority,where young people are pushing the proposed change. Participants create a portfolio in which the problem and present their work on it. Presentations take place at local, regional and national level.
