I expected
• sharing experience with other participants (from the USA and Slovakia)
• new information
• new inspiration for my work with students
• new information, but I am very positivelly surprised, my feelings ran away because the reality of this seminar is beyond my expectation
• interesting and friendly meeting where new contacts will be established
• my expectations were met
• Interesting workshops that are a contribution (and they were)
• I expected something similar to programs arranged by Human in Need Association and I am glad that it was similar
• Meetings
• new ideas, inspiration,new and different experience that I will be able to use in the educational process, inspiration for my teaching
• sharing experience with colleagues from the USA, Slovak and Czech republics
I have learned
• interesting details from various ways toward democracy
• experience of other colleagues, comparsion of our work, new information, new ways of teaching, my expectations were not only met but overfulfilled
• a large numer of new things, I have lot of inspiring ideas how to improve my teachingI more deeply understand content od American patriotism – how they experience it
• that enthusiasm for our work associates teachers from various countries
• that we have different opinions on various problems because our historical experience is different
• new approaches to teaching civic education, new information about the US history, new information about functioning democracy in the USA
• historical events in our country and in the USA – in more details – similar problems -various solutions
• various information from the US and Slovak history as well as information from the present I appreciate new ideas about issues I am interested in
• Paralels between the development in the Czech and Slovak republics and in the USA
• I gained materials for my teaching
• many information about my country and culture from wider context and in comparsion with other countries and I realized many paralels in political problems, systems and approaches of the society to everyday reality
